Hardcore punk band formed in Santa Cruz, California in 2014. Built around vocalist Sammy Ciaramitaro, guitarist Cody Chavez, and drummer Tim Flegal, Drain emerged from UC Santa Cruz's DIY scene blending hardcore punk with crossover thrash and metal influences. After their 2020 debut California Cursed on Revelation Records, they signed to Epitaph and released Living Proof (2023) and ...Is Your Friend (2025). The New York Times credited Drain as a driving force of American hardcore's renaissance.
