KATSEYE is a global girl group formed through The Debut: Dream Academy, a 2023 reality competition series by HYBE and Geffen Records. From over 120,000 auditions across 15 cities worldwide, six members were selected: Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Manon Bannerman, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza, and Yoonchae Jeung, representing the US, Switzerland, the Philippines, and South Korea. They debuted in June 2024 with the single "Debut," followed by breakthrough hit "Touch," whose choreography went viral on TikTok. Their first EP, SIS (Soft Is Strong), arrived in August 2024, and their second EP, Beautiful Chaos, debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 in June 2025. Their formation was chronicled in the Netflix docuseries Popstar Academy: KATSEYE.
