Xenya Genovese, known as Freak Slug, is a Manchester-born visual artist turned self-taught musician. After studying fine arts in London and pursuing art in Barcelona, she found her way to music, crafting a sound that bridges dreamy lo-fi with grungy, imperfect edges. Influenced by Ride, Mazzy Star, and Pavement, her work blends alt-rock, new wave, trip-hop, and avant-pop with raw, authentic self-expression.
