Moroccan-Canadian singer and songwriter known for her powerhouse vocals and emotionally charged pop sound that bridges Western and Arabic influences. Born in Casablanca, Morocco, she moved to Carman, Manitoba, Canada at age one. She began writing songs at age five and playing piano at age six. In 2017, she became the first teenager and first Canadian to win the Grand Prize of the Nashville Unsigned Only music competition. Her 2020 collaboration with John Legend, "Minefields," became one of her most successful tracks.
