Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor (born 7 November 1996), known professionally as Lorde, is a New Zealand singer-songwriter known for her unconventional style of pop music and introspective songwriting. She gained international fame at age 16 with her debut single Royals, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for nine weeks. Her discography includes Pure Heroine (2013), Melodrama (2017), Solar Power (2021), and Virgin (2025). Her accolades include two Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, and twenty Aotearoa Music Awards.
