Passion Pit is an American indie pop/synth-pop project led by singer, songwriter, and keyboardist Michael Angelakos, formed in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2007. Known for shimmering, maximalist synth-pop and Angelakos's soaring falsetto, the project gained widespread attention with the breakout single "Sleepyhead" from their debut EP Chunk of Change (2008). Their debut album Manners (2009) and follow-up Gossamer (2012), which reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200 powered by the hit "Take a Walk", established them as one of indie pop's defining acts. Their third album Kindred arrived in 2015.
