Daily Bread is the electronic music project of Rhett Whatley, an electro-soul and hip-hop producer from Atlanta, Georgia. Armed with an MPC, a massive record collection, and a background in jazz guitar, Whatley began producing beats from his bedroom in 2014. His sound resides at the crossroads of funk and bass-driven electronic music, seamlessly intertwined with hip-hop rhythms and nostalgically soulful melodies drawn from crate-digging and vinyl sampling. After being noticed by indie label Philos Records, he released his double LP On the Daily in 2017 and relocated to Denver to immerse himself in the electro-soul scene. Notable releases include Cloud Conductor, Invisible Cinema, and Across the Burning Sky.
