Born Alyssa Johnson in Omaha, Nebraska, Mary Droppinz is a DJ and producer based in Los Angeles. Influenced by her drummer father, she began DJing in 2015 in Southern California and started producing in 2019 after attending IO Academy in Hollywood. Her eclectic sound seamlessly blends breaks, electro, house, techno, acid, UK garage, drum and bass, and hip-hop. She has performed at major stages including EDC Las Vegas, Coachella, Red Rocks, Amnesia Ibiza, Lightning in a Bottle, Brooklyn Mirage, and Desert Hearts, and holds a residency at Discopussy in Las Vegas. Her releases include work on HARD Recs and three EPs on Zeds Dead's Altered States label, plus remixes for Justin Martin, LP Giobbi, and Deekline & FreQ Nasty. As the lead DJ instructor at LP Giobbi's Femme House, she helps bring more women and gender-expansive people into electronic music.
