Thee Sacred Souls

San Diego, US

chicago soul · smooth soul · soul

Thee Sacred Souls are a San Diego soul trio featuring singer Josh Lane, bassist Sal Samano, and drummer Alex Garcia. Formed in 2019, the group blends classic sweet soul and R&B with a modern sensibility, drawing comparisons to Chicano soul and Motown-era balladry. After their early singles racked up millions of streams and drew attention from Billboard, Rolling Stone, and KCRW, they signed to Daptone Records (via its Penrose imprint) and released their self-titled debut album in 2022.
