The Stews are an indie-rock band from Auburn, Alabama, formed at Auburn University in the fall of 2020. Comprising Preston Hall (lead vocals, guitar), Blake Dobbs (guitar), Bennett Baugus (bass), and Wyatt Griffith (drums), the four-piece blends lush acoustic balladry with guttural hard rock and classic alternative influences. After leaving school to pursue music full time, the band has played 350+ shows in three years, sold out venues including DC's 9:30 Club and NYC's Bowery Ballroom, released the albums What Was (2022) and Chicken Fight (2024), and appeared at festivals such as Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Hangout Fest.
