Smoakland is a bass music duo from Oakland, California, formed in 2018 by Anthony Battaglia and Harrison Hays after the pair met at Boise State University. The group is known for a gripping fusion of old school dubstep and downtempo bass, drawing influence from Zeds Dead, Eptic, Mersiv, and the dirty dutch sound popularized by Afrojack. They also run a drum and bass side project called Liquid Smoak. Career highlights include a breakout performance at Electric Forest 2022, a Red Rocks set under their Liquid Smoak alias, and their Deadbeats EP Smoak Sesh, which hit number one on Beatport Dubstep in fall 2022.
