Tash Sultana is an Australian multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and loop pedal virtuoso from Melbourne. Born in 1995 and of Maltese descent, they received their first guitar at age three and began performing at open mic nights by 13 before busking on Melbourne's streets. Sultana plays a huge array of instruments including guitar, bass, keyboard, percussion, trumpet, saxophone, flute, mandolin, oud, harmonica, and panpipes, building entire arrangements live with a loop station while singing, beatboxing, and employing percussive finger-tapping guitar technique. A viral 2016 bedroom performance of "Jungle" launched their global career, landing third in Triple J's Hottest 100 that year. Debut album Flow State (2018) was followed by Terra Firma (2021), which debuted at #1 on the ARIA charts. With a five-octave vocal range, Sultana has gone from busking to headlining arenas like Wembley's OVO Arena and Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome, amassing billions of streams worldwide.
