Mt. Joy is a five-piece indie rock band formed in 2016 by Philadelphia-area high school friends Matt Quinn (vocals, guitar) and Sam Cooper (guitar), who reunited in Los Angeles. Named after a hill in Valley Forge National Park, the band broke through with their 2016 debut single "Astrovan," which gained viral traction on Spotify. Their lineup includes Sotiris Eliopoulos (drums), Jackie Miclau (keyboards), and Michael Byrnes (bass). Known for blending folk, blues, and Americana influences into modern indie rock, the band has amassed over one billion global streams. Their platinum-certified single "Silver Lining" reached number one on the Billboard Triple A chart. They have released four studio albums: Mt. Joy (2018), Rearrange Us (2020), Orange Blood (2022), and Hope We Have Fun (2025).
