Paul Bert Rahasimanana, known as Rossy, is a Malagasy singer and songwriter who performs a fusion of hira gasy instrumentation and vocal style with contemporary rock, funk and folk sounds. Considered the most popular Malagasy artist of the 1990s, he is known for introducing European audiences to the genre of salegy. His 1994 release Bal kabosy earned him Radio France International's award for best ambassador of Malagasy music.
