Hydraulix is the alter ego of Sydney-based producer Damien Williams. Growing up on hip hop, rap, and punk rock, he committed fully to music at 20, first as a DJ before turning to production. His bass-heavy sound draws from childhood influences like DJ Premier, Dr Dre, and Pete Rock, giving his tracks a distinctly percussive and rhythmic edge. With airplay on Triple J and BBC Radio 1, and support from artists like Excision, Skrillex, Four Tet, and Pendulum, Hydraulix has built a global following. He has toured alongside Jack U, RL Grime, NGHTMRE, and Liquid Stranger, and played festivals including Lost Lands, Bass Canyon, Rampage, Electric Zoo, and HARD. His debut album Imposter Syndrome on Wakaan showcases collaborations with rapper Jasiah, Grammy-winning producer NITTI, and dubstep icon Doctor P.
