Distinct Motive is Canadian producer Phil Shore, hailing from St. Catharines, Ontario. Known for his dark and minimal dubstep style rooted in the genre's original dub-influenced sound, he has been a rising force in bass music since 2013. Inspired by attending UK dubstep raves featuring Skream, Coki, Caspa, and Rusko in 2008-2009, he has since earned support from legends like Mala, Truth, J.Sparrow, and J:Kenzo. With five vinyl releases on labels including Deep Dark & Dangerous and Navy Cut, and breakout singles like Shake Junt and Mellow Man, he has captivated audiences across North America and Europe.
