FuntCase is the stage name of James Hazell, an English dubstep and drum and bass producer and DJ from Bournemouth, England. Drawing from his roots in death metal drumming and a love for happy hardcore and jungle, he began producing drum and bass as DJ Dose in 2007 before pivoting to dubstep in 2009. Signed to Circus Records in 2010 alongside peers like Cookie Monsta, Doctor P, and Flux Pavilion, he became a driving force in the early 2010s underground dubstep movement. Known for his aggressive, high-energy sound and signature mask, he later founded his own label DPMO (Don't Piss Me Off), showcasing emerging bass music talent worldwide.
