Tiga (born Tiga James Sontag, 1974) is a Canadian DJ and producer from Montreal, Quebec. Exposed to electronic music through the 1980s Indian club scene, he began promoting raves in Montreal in the early 1990s and co-founded the legendary afterhours club Sona. In 1994 he opened DNA Records, and in 1998 launched his influential label Turbo Recordings, which helped break artists including Chromeo, Azari & III, Gesaffelstein, Duke Dumont, and Charlotte de Witte. Known for tracks like "Sunglasses at Night," "Shoes," and "You Gonna Want Me," Tiga has become a globally recognized figure in electro, house, and techno.
