Mladen Solomun, known as Solomun, is a Bosnian-German DJ, producer and remixer and a pioneering figure in deep house and melodic techno. Born in Travnik, Bosnia and Herzegovina, he moved to Hamburg, Germany with his family as a child. In late 2005 he co-founded the influential record label Diynamic with partner Adriano Trolio, built around a "Do It Yourself" ethos, which has since become a cornerstone of the electronic music scene and nurtured artists like Stimming, David August and Adriatique. His 2013 launch of the "Solomun +1" residency at Pacha Ibiza, where he relocated the DJ booth to the center of the dancefloor, became an Ibiza institution. A four-time DJ Awards winner and named Mixmag DJ of the Year in 2012, he is celebrated for emotional, melodic sets that blend driving rhythms with deep atmosphere.
