British DJ and producer Harvey Bassett, known as DJ Harvey, is one of the most respected selectors in dance music. Rising from Cambridge punk bands in the early 1980s, he became a pioneering force in bringing American disco, garage and house sounds to the UK through legendary parties and residencies including Moist at the Gardening Club and Ministry of Sound in London. A co-founder of the Black Cock record label, he has remixed for artists like Jamiroquai and Ian Brown, and holds a long-running summer residency at Pikes Hotel in Ibiza.
