Cain Culto
Lexington, US
art pop · latin pop · alternative pop · vallenato
Cain Culto is the stage name of Andrew Estevan Padilla, an American singer, violinist, and multidisciplinary artist of Colombian and Nicaraguan descent. Born in Florida and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, he grew up immersed in both Appalachian and Latin American musical traditions. A former Evangelical worship pastor and founding member of Christian band Ecclesia, he came out as gay and reinvented himself as Cain Culto—a name referencing the biblical Cain and the Spanish word for worship. His music blends bluegrass, vallenato, bullerengue, and art-pop with political lyrics and visuals exploring queerness, mythology, and witchcraft. He gained widespread attention with his viral single KFC Santería.
