The Vaccines are an English indie rock band formed in West London in 2010 by Justin Hayward-Young and Freddie Cowan, alongside Árni Árnason and Pete Robertson. They broke through with their demo "If You Wanna," named Hottest Record in the World by Zane Lowe, and released their platinum-selling debut album "What Did You Expect from the Vaccines?" in 2011. The band is known for infectious melodies, stadium-ready hooks, and a sound rooted in classic indie, garage rock revival, and post-punk traditions. Their current lineup features Young (lead vocals, guitars), Árnason (bass), Timothy Lanham (guitars, keys), and Yoann Intonti (drums), with Lanham and Intonti promoted from touring members after Robertson departed in 2016. They have released six studio albums, most recently "Pick-Up Full of Pink Carnations" (2024).
