The Sponges are an electronic music duo from Palm Beach, Florida, comprising Ryan Slepin and Nik Eaton. The two met in high school producing rap beats together, then discovered electronic music after attending Bonnaroo 2014. Their signature sound fuses 70s funk, heavy bass, and nostalgic sample chops with a classic four-on-the-floor rhythm, drawing influence from classic funk and disco artists as well as jam bands like The Grateful Dead and STS9.
