indie rock · lo-fi · indie pop
Supermodel were a lo-fi indie rock band from Egham, Surrey, England, active in the mid-1990s. Formed by singer/guitarist Nick Triani and guitarist Wolsey White, they released three critically acclaimed records on London indie Fire Records in the UK and Columbia in the US. NME described their Teenage Fanclub-influenced debut Clumba Mar (1996) as a "brand new invention, ELO-fi". The band toured relentlessly and ran their own club nights called The Apple Club, following up with the EP Perigos Minas (1997) and album Popocalypse Now! (1998). After the band ended, Triani and White went on to careers as producers, while drummer Lindsay Jamieson continued in music.
