OrlasFestival appearances

Orlas is a father-and-son collaboration between Brazilian pianist and maestro Victor Chicri and multi-instrumentalist/producer Vic Delnur. Drawing their name from the Portuguese word for shores or coasts, their music is a fusion of samba-jazz, bossa nova, and disco-funk, blending Brazils musical heritage with a bold, modern sound. Victor Chicri has performed with notable Brazilian artists such as Gal Costa, Seu Jorge, and Bebel Gilberto, and at the Montreux Jazz Festival. Vic Delnur previously toured with psychedelic indie rock band Water and Man. Their debut LP Viver o Mar features an eight-piece orchestra recorded at Garys Electric Studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
