Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are an Australian rock band formed in Melbourne in 1983 by singer Nick Cave, multi-instrumentalist Mick Harvey, and guitarist Blixa Bargeld. Known for their emotional intensity and diverse range of styles spanning post-punk, gothic rock, alternative rock, and art rock, they have released eighteen studio albums and are widely regarded as one of the most original and celebrated bands of the post-punk era.
