Moodymann (Kenny Dixon Jr.) is a Detroit house and techno DJ and producer known for blending soulful disco samples with raw Detroit techno. He founded KDJ Records in 1994 and Mahogani Music, and has been a pivotal figure in underground dance music since the early 1990s. A member of the group 3 Chairs, he also hosts the biannual Soul Skate roller skating event in Detroit.
