Pedro Luis Nunes Maia, known as Mochakk, is a Brazilian DJ and music producer from Sorocaba. Growing up in the midst of skating and hip-hop culture, he found his musical start as a beatmaker before pivoting to electronic music. After discovering house music, he became a dedicated student of the genre, blending jazz, soul, and hip-hop influences with tech house to create a sound that is both soulful and funky yet dark and gritty. He gained international recognition in 2022 after a viral TikTok video, and that year made his Circoloco debut in Ibiza and launched his own label, MOTRAXX. His mentors and collaborators include Seth Troxler, Pete Tong, The Martinez Brothers, and Chris Lake. In 2024 he was ranked #61 on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs list and opened his own club, OBLIQO, in Sorocaba.
