British pop rock band formed in London in 2003, consisting of Tom Fletcher (vocals, guitar, piano), Danny Jones (vocals, guitar, harmonica), Dougie Poynter (bass, vocals), and Harry Judd (drums). Named after the Back to the Future character Marty McFly, the band broke records as the youngest group to debut at number one on the UK Albums Chart, surpassing The Beatles. With seven number-one singles and eighteen consecutive UK top-20 hits, McFly became one of the most successful British pop rock acts of the 2000s. Their discography spans seven studio albums from Room on the 3rd Floor (2004) to Young Dumb Thrills (2020). Winners of the 2005 Brit Award for Best British Pop Act.
