Denver-based electronic producer John "JmaC" McCarten fuses funk, soul, hip-hop, and bass music into a kaleidoscopic sound. Originally from the Twin Cities, he grew up with classical piano training before discovering hip-hop production. Over a decade-plus career he has released ten studio albums, performed at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Hulaween, and Red Rocks, and completed remixes for Pretty Lights, GRiZ, Zeds Dead, and Louis the Child. Also a trained magician, McCarten weaves sleight-of-hand into his live performances.
