Jkyl & Hyde is a bass music project founded in late 2017 by Luke Enderle and Duke Specht. Originally an Atlanta-based duo, they quickly carved out a reputation for hard-hitting, uncompromising sound that bridges old-school dubstep with modern, forward-thinking sound design. Their dark and wonky style draws comparisons to horror-bass pioneer Figure. The project has released on heavyweight labels including Disciple, Never Say Die, Subsidia, and Bassrush, and earned support from Zeds Dead, Excision, Marshmello, and Subtronics. Duke departed the project around 2022, and Luke continues to produce and perform as Jkyl & Hyde from Los Angeles. The project also hosts Hydden Gems Radio, a monthly show spotlighting emerging talent.
