Ion The Prize is a San Francisco-based club DJ and music producer best known on the 2020s interwebs for his innovative bootleg remixes, magnetic pop mashups and ambitious tribute mixes. A resident DJ at Oasis Nightclub since 2018 and with the PRINCESS party since 2022, Ion has become a fixture of the Bay Area's queer nightlife community, with an eye for representation and an appreciation for the region's music history. Known for tackling wildly varied theme nights and musical challenges, he has performed everywhere from intimate dive bars to major festival stages, including an appearance with PRINCESS and Willow Pill at Outside Lands' Dolores Stage in 2024. Over the past year, he has also performed throughout the city at Bootie Mashups, Comfort & Joy, DAD, Polyglamorous Pink Block, Powerhouse, Public Works, the SF Pride Parade, and Young Hearts. With new music arriving this summer, Ion loves weaving his own remixes and original productions into DJ sets that balance confidence, inclusivity, sex-positivity, and those fleeting moments of connection that can't be replayed or recorded.
