Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, known professionally as Halsey, is an American singer-songwriter from Edison, New Jersey. Rising to fame through self-released music on social media, she signed with Astralwerks in 2014 and released her debut album Badlands in 2015, which debuted at number two on the Billboard 200. Her music spans electropop, alternative pop, synth-pop, and indie pop, with forays into alternative rock and R&B. Notable albums include Hopeless Fountain Kingdom (2017), Manic (2020), If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power (2021) produced by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, and The Great Impersonator (2024). She celebrated the 10th anniversary of Badlands with a 2025-2026 international tour.
