English rock band formed in Leicester in 1966, fronted by vocalist Roger Chapman and guitarist Charlie Whitney. Pioneers of the late-1960s British underground scene alongside Pink Floyd and Soft Machine, they blended progressive rock, psychedelia, folk, and jazz fusion with unconventional instrumentation. Active from 1966 to 1973 and reuniting for live shows in 2013.
