ellis is a British electronic producer, songwriter, bassist, and musician born Ellis Lawrie, who grew up in Bromsgrove near Birmingham and later moved to London. After playing bass in a punk band, he shifted into electronic production and developed a funk- and jazz-influenced future-house and electro-house sound. His catalog includes "Clear My Head," the Monstercat releases Recollection Prospective, Orbit, and signals, and production and remix work with artists including Zedd, Lady Gaga, and Meghan Trainor.
