DJ Susan is the alias of Steven Glathe, a San Diego-bred DJ and producer known for his potent blend of tech house and bass house. Starting out DJing in 2009, he evolved from hip hop to house music, throwing legendary house parties that became the foundation for Hood Politics Records, which he launched in 2017. The label has since curated over 150 releases, welcoming artists like John Summit, Max Styler, and Vanilla Ace. His charting hits include "TALKIN" (number one on Beatport Bass House) and "Secrets" (number one on Tech House Hype). He also founded Peak Dial, a bass music label.
