Chicago house DJ Shannon Ialongo, known as DJ Dayhota, began spinning in the mid-1990s at Wicker Park-Bucktown parties. Mentored by Derrick Carter and Diz, she co-founded the SuperJane DJ collective alongside Colette, Heather, and Lady D. Voted one of Mixer Magazine's Top 100 DJs in 2002, she has performed internationally across North America, Europe, and Australia. She later relocated to Toronto to expand her music career.
