Sheldon Jerome Young, known as Channel Tres, is a rapper, DJ, singer, and producer from Compton, California. Raised between Compton and Lynwood, he grew up playing drums in church and later studied music at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa. After returning to LA, he began producing for artists like Duckwrth, Wale, and Kehlani before breaking out in 2018 with his blend of West Coast rap, classic house, and electronic music he calls "Compton house." His single "Controller" earned an Essential New Tune nod from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, and his debut album Head Rush arrived in 2024.
