Banchan is the house-focused electronic project of Chicago artist Matthias Mehrpuyan, launched in 2025 after he retired his Mattheo alias. His productions pair groove-driven club rhythms with melodic, early-rave-influenced textures; releases include the Mahogany EP on Dusky’s 17 Steps and music on his Street Food Records label.
