AmiraFestival appearances

San Diego-based DJ with Algerian and Egyptian heritage, originally from NYC. Amira brings a diverse selection of sounds to the dancefloor, drawing from her North African roots, upbringing in New York City, and world travels. Her eclectic sets blend the exotic vibes of Africa and the Mediterranean, the groovy rhythms of South America and the Caribbean, and the urban flair of NYC. In the right environments, her sound fuses dark, new-wave, acid, and post-punk influences with melancholic melodies and sultry vocals. She has shared the stage with Derrick Carter, Traumer, Gene Farris, Yuksek, Sabo, and Crazy P, and has played at Lightning In A Bottle, CRSSD, Same Same But Different, Music is 4 Lovers, and San Diego Pride.
